Marathon Against Drugs – Run for a Better Future The College of Engineering Poonjar, in association with IHRD Kerala, organized a Marathon Against Drugs to raise awareness about substance abuse. Students, faculty, and the community participated, promoting a drug-free society and a healthier future.
Daksha 2025, the Arts Day celebration, was held on February 27 and 28, 2025. The event showcased a variety of cultural performances, including classical dance, music, skits, mono acts, and a fancy dress competition. Students actively participated, making the event a vibrant celebration of creativity and talent.
Padayottam 2025, the annual Sports Day event, was held on February 6th and 7th, 2025. The event featured thrilling competitions, including running races, football, cricket, and volleyball, bringing students together in the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork.

The IEDC Cell of CE Poonjar hosted HackForge, a cybersecurity workshop, on November 6, 2024. The event featured Farhan Bin Fazil as the guest speaker, who shared valuable insights into cybersecurity practices and emerging trends.
The IEDC Cell of CE Poonjar conducted an orientation program to promote membership development and introduce IEDC initiatives to students.
Onam Celebration 2024, also known as Kalaham 2024, was held on 13th September 2024 and inaugurated by our respected Principal, Dr. M.V. Rajesh. The event featured vibrant cultural performances celebrating Kerala’s traditions, bringing students and staff together in the festive spirit of Onam.
The IEDC cell of CE Poonjar organized a talk session on the topic “Idea to Protect”. Inaugurated by “Mr. Sherin Sam Jose” CEO of Startups Valley, TBI. Program also had a talk on Young Innovators Programme (YIP) by Vishnu Venukuttan, faculty of EEE department.
Arts day curtain raiser was done 11th, March 2024. The program also involved a flash mob to engage our students and hype them up for CHUVAD’24 our arts day program of 2024. CHUVAD is planned on 16th and 17th March, 2024
The Career Guidance and Placement Unit (CGPU)’s new office was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. M V Rajesh in presence of Mr. Anchal J Vattakunnel (Training and Placement Officer). The new CGPU also held it’s first meeting on the same day
The IEEE Annual General Meeting of 2024 was held on 15th, February 2024. The program was organized by the new IEEE ExeCom of 2024 with the presidential address of Dr. M V Rajesh (Principal, CEP) and Dr. Annie Julie Joseph (Branch Councillor of IEEE SB CEP). The program also involved the certificate distribution for the old Execom of 2023 for their performance for the previous year.
